Product Description

Our Curly Tail Jerkshad is a hybrid design that has fantastic, erratic action of a jerk shad with nonstop movement from the curly tail, this leads to an incredibly versatile lure that can successfully fill many rolls in your tackle box. We've designed these with durability in mind & use a hard plastic formula, they are not indestructible, but the balance in action & durability is as good as it gets.

RIGGING

I prefer a standard screw lock jig head with 1/0-3/0 sized hook(I will have my own very soon!), however the longer body allows you to rig it weedless as well, which unlocks a variety of rigging options. Texas/Carolina rigs, drop shot, wacky, Alabama, tandem, if you can dream it, this lure can do it.

HOW DOES THE GARLIC HELP?

All of our lures are infused with a potent garlic scent, this helps cover up negative scents like sunscreen & gives the fish a little extra something to hold onto & help them find your lure. (don't ask why it works, all I know is that it does lol)

UV REFLECTIVENESS & GLOWS

Bioluminescence (creatures producing light) is fairly common in the marine world, this is what our glowing colors are designed to imitate, just another little bonus to help you out in low light conditions. We also use pigments that reflect UV light rays from the sun, these travel further underwater than the rest of the light rays and fish can see them which means they can see the uv reflective lures form further away.

WORKING/ACTION

Do not over think this. I treat these as jerkshads with extra action from the curly tail, I tend to work these back & forth erratically with quick series of short, sharp twitches of the rod tip followed by pauses & adjust accordingly. Speed, length of pauses, drops etc. are all going to vary on your fishing style, conditions, etc. Try slower & faster retrieves, fish the surface, bottom & everything in between until you figure out what the fish want. The best advice I can give about this is to pay attention to what you are doing & how you are doing it so when you get a bite you can put the lure back in the zone & replicate what lead to the bite.If you're not paying attention it will take you much longer to figure out what's going on.
